Tennis

October 13, 2011 · No Comments · Athletics

The 2011-2012 ZMS Boy’s Tennis Team had an average season, with a Win-Loss record of 3-8. Those numbers don’t seem too impressive, but many of the Varsity matches were nail bitingly close, and the Junior Varsity team’s record was 6-2-2. At the conference tournament Saturday, the #2 doubles team of Elijah Hunt and R.J. Brow, and the alternate doubles team of Will Cunningham and Darren Stratton won their brackets. The #1 doubles team of Erik Axelson and David Brow placed second. At the #1 singles spot, Eddie Lin placed third and at #2 singles, Nick Weaver placed fourth. Overall, the ZMS tennis team placed third. Many of the athletes were in sixth and seventh grade, so most will be returning next year.

camera_clip_art__1Dear ZMS Parents, Students, and Staff,

Get your pictures in the yearbook! The Yearbook Staff invites students and parents to submit photos for the yearbook. If you’ve got great photos of school activities and/or athletic events, we’d like to see them. Afterall, our yearbook club photographers can’t be everywhere all the time!  Help us get as many photos as possible to create a terrific book everyone will want to have. We don’t need ALL of your photos, just your best ones from that event!

Here is how you can submit photos online:
   • Go to: http://www.replayit.com/r/

   • Go to the top, right corner, and click “Find your school to register”

   • Create a login and write down the email address and password and keep in a safe place. You may wish to use your student email adress (first-last@stumail.zcs.k12.in.us)

-NOTE: our school passcode is: zmsyearbook12

   • After you have verified your email address, you may start uploading!

   • I find it easier to upload one at a time. Please be sure to “tag” the photo with important information like student name, activity, etc.

It’s that easy! Submit your photos today! The last day to submit photos is 3/1/2012.

Thank you, and enjoy the rest of the school year!

Sincerely,
ZMS Yearbook Advisers, Mrs. Goodman and Mrs. Weirich

If you have problems, please email egoodman@zcs.k12.in.us

Note: The Yearbook Staff will review all photos and determine final yearbook content. We cannot guarantee that all submissions can be used in the book. We will also share your photos with the ZMS Daily Announcements Staff.

I am very excited about this opportunity to work in the Zionsville school system in this capacity and look forward to working with your child(ren) throughout the year!

Below is a list of fall sports information that I hope you will find helpful in trying to plan out these next few weeks. As a reminder, a current physical (dated after May 1, 2011) must be on file before you can attend an official practice! This is also the first year the school system has implemented the Program Support Fee, and this form and payment must be turned in before the first scheduled contest.  The form is on the school’s website, and can be found at:  http://cms.zcs.k12.in.us/sites/default/files/Documents/programsupportfee.pdf

In addition, all 7th grade students (and students new to the district) must have had an Impact Test done with our Athletic Trainers before participating.  Rick Santerre is the athletic trainer for ZMS, and you can contact him at rsanterre@zcs.k12.in.us if you would like to verify whether or not your child’s physical form and/or Impact Testing information is on file.

Please consider being a member of the ZABC by filling out the following form: http://cms.zcs.k12.in.us/zhs/?q=node/148

And, finally, I have attached the link for the High School and Middle School Athletic Pass form. This can be a great way to make sure the members of your family always have a ticket to the game in advance! http://cms.zcs.k12.in.us/sites/cms.zcs.k12.in.us.zms/files/docs/AthleticPass.pdf
