Dear ZMS PTO,

Thank you for your generous donation to art room 406. We were so excited when we heard that we had classroom money to spend! All of the art classes made suggestions and decided that an electric pencil sharpener was a must have! We haven’t had one in years! It makes our lives so much easier! We picked out a school grade sharpener that is quiet, sharpens a variety of sizes and types of pencils, AND has an automatic stop so we don’t over sharpen! We are thrilled to have it!

            We also decided on some new books for our classroom library. After an inventory was of our book collection was taken, we decided on a few that they had United Art and Education.  The pencil drawing books have great illustrations and are really helpful with realistic drawing techniques.  The art history books are  great for when we do artist research.

            Finally, we want to also thank you for what you bought us last year (that we are embarrassed to say we didn’t properly thank you for…) Last year, you purchased the entire art department (12 computers) the Art Rage 2.0 software. It is amazing! It is the most realistic art media software there is. We can create with oils, stencils, airbrush, and work on a variety of surfaces including watercolor paper and canvas. It is so much fun to use! We have used it for projects and just for exploration. You should come in and try it sometime. You will think it is awesome too!

            Thank you for your continued support of ZMS students and teachers. We appreciate all that you have done for us. We certainly think about all of you each time we use these new items in the art room!
